The Scaur

WIP. The Scaur [or scar] is a the intertidal zone underneath the cliffs on Whitby’s east side. The area retains a sense of mystery and the wild despite being very close to a busy tourist destination. The scar is completely covered at high tide and can be dangerous to those who do not know how easily the sea can cut them off. The area is also dangerous to shipping and has been the site of many wrecks over the years.
